What People Say.

As an audiobook narrator, my normal dynamic range is rather small. So, I was nervous about taking my first voice acting class. I'd seen the animation and video game actors roaming wild and free! By the end of the (super fun) class, I was not only more dynamic, but specific, and less in my head. Just the right blend on prescriptive and conceptual instruction. Lots of mic time!

I retook one of your voiceover classes tonight with Karen Strassman. I needed it on multiple levels. I just wanted to say a quick "Thank You".

Thanks again so much for sharing your knowledge with me during the voiceover class yesterday! I learned so much, and I’m super excited to continue with voiceover! I had so much fun yesterday, and I’m really looking forward to the journey ahead. I’ll definitely be thinking of Tasia and Real Voice LA in the future for additional training and coaching as I work on putting together material for an animation reel!
Looking forward to giving great voice in not only VO, but in every aspect of my life!

Thank you! Great voice over workshop! I'll be back for more

Thank you! I learned a lot. I found Donovan to be very thorough as a voiceover teacher. And he also taught a tangible/actionable approach to Promo Scripts. I enjoyed it because I understood why something was working and saw how it was truthfully linked to the promo script. I look forward to my other voice over classes at your studio. Thank you!

I’ve taken a few voiceover workshops with Real Voice L.A. in the last year and I am always extremely impressed with the amount of information and knowledge I receive, every time. I always learn something new and actionable regardless of who is leading the workshop. The cherry on top? They are so affordable for being absolutely on par (if not better) with the more expensive workshops I’ve taken. Thank you so much for all you do!

Best thing I ever did was find this great group of voice-over professionals! They are pros, friendly and affordable. Mike DeLay's crew offers a great range of voiceover classes. Saving my pennies to take as many as I can!

Real Voice L.A. is fantastic! I have taken voiceover classes at the studio, I’ve streamed an online class, and watched a live Source Connect webinar. All fantastic experiences. Mike DeLay is the owner operator, a great guy and a knowledgeable Audio Engineer. Mike is super inviting and runs a great studio. The teaching talent are all top-notch. If you want to take a classes or need a studio to record your next demo or paid gig, I highly recommend Real Voice L.A.!

What an excellent informative session with Robert Marshall and RealVoiceLA on Friday!! There’s no better way to learn than from the source of the product!! Thank you, RealVoiceLA, for making this fantastic learning experience about Source Connect available to us voice talents!!

This time it was a webinar, though I've taken numerous on-site classes and webinars. More about this one in a minute. RVLA is the difference between a clone Domino's location and a century-old authentic family Neopolitan handcrafted pizza cafe'. They're superb and discerning, never disappointing. The real deal. Between Mike DeLay and Brent Allen Hagel, you have a complete arsenal of VO power. Mike's engineering abilities and hacks flow as freely as a master chef, and Brent is some kind of virtuoso artist, yet with the ability to coach and direct like some kind of Bocelli in casual mode. Wow. I'll be back. Oh, the Source Connect webinar? Hands down the most bang for the buck in the field. It could have been 10 times as much $$ and been worth it. Thank God they sent a link as usual to all the subscribers, I do have see it about 10 more times. THANKS!!!!

To be frank starting out with Mr. Mike DeLay he was super helpful when it came to signing up for my class with Brent. He answers all my questions and is very cooperative. Attending Brent Allen Hagel's class was super beneficial and eye opening on how serious the promo voice over business is and how much work is needed to be put in to succeed. He even tackles the subject matter from a voiceover marketing perspective which is what its mostly about. It was an amazing class that gave me a great push in the right direction. This wasn't my first voiceover class with Real Voice LA and it wont be my last. thank you!

Brent Allen Hagel was fantastic on this 3-hour journey through Promos and Trailers. He covered the realities, the subtle nuances, and the expectations to be competitive of these amazing voiceover genres. His knowledge, instinct, and approachability make this workshop filled with vitally useful ammunition to succeed accessible for every level. Highly recommended!

I've taken two classes with Real Voice L.A. so far, (and signed up for another this Thursday) Both classes were on two different topics in voice-over but were really informational all the same! I left both classes feeling like I have leveled up as a Voice Over artist. Furthermore, I am extremely appreciative of Real Voice L.A. for offering high-quality classes during the pandemic. The passion of the staff of this studio is unmatched! Highly Recommended to others!

I had a blast receiving personalized feedback from JP and learning from his notes for everyone else! It was a joyful oasis in the middle of quarantine, to be able to create wild, silly worlds and revel in each other's comedic timing. :D

Real Voice LA is brilliant. I took the Online Home recording class with Mike DeLay and he is so skilled at his craft I gained a wealth of knowledge about this business. It was a full class of 13 with beginner voiceover artists like myself to advanced levels. I learned about the equipment needed to set up a home studio to the software you can use to enhance the voice recording. He was very inspiring and gave answers to all our questions and just so helpful and honest. Thank you so I'm grateful to you and this platform during this time. Will definitely recommend this company 120% and very affordable Thanks Mike you Rock

I participated in an online video game voiceover workout class with Arianna Ratner over zoom yesterday and it was just what a workout should be, challenging and fun. I loved how she gave direction, straight forward without sounding punitive which made me feel comfortable to try different approaches. Definitely will participate again.

Our voice over workshop with Barbara Niles was both fun and informative. I learned a lot from her and the practice and feedback in the booth was invaluable. I'm looking forward to taking another workshop with her soon.
- Susan Fisher

I took Craig Lee Thomas' class and found them absolutely amazing. This was the perfect intro into the voiceover world. Craig has an encouraging passion to teach his craft, and I learned so much over the course of three weeks. There is valuable instruction as well as time "in the booth" for students to practice and develop their own voiceover individuality.I highly recommend this class to anybody new or seasoned who's looking to build upon a foundation. Craig has valuable knowledge, and this class is a MUST for anyone looking to learn the craft of commercial voiceovers.

I absolutely love Mike DeLay and the team at RVLA and can not recommend them enough. Mike creates such a comfortable, safe, fun environment for everyone to learn and work in. Coming in to my first class there I had only taken one other at another studio. I was starting to feel comfortable in the booth but needed a lot more direction and structure, to start building my own process toward my reads. The weekend Warrior class with Katie Zeiner and Mike, Katie's online workshops and Craig's commercial class all helped me work toward those things. I feel like I am off to a great start and have the tools I need to start my vo career off successfully, because of these classes. Each class is also a lot of fun, (and, isn't that the point?!)!! I'm about to create my first vo reel with them and I know I am in great hands.

I signed up for the first animation/gaming workshop of the new year and I loved it! Tasia Valenza is an absolute godsend. Her passion for teaching and voice acting bleeds from her pores in a way that radiates and moves the entire class. It was fun, engaging and insightful. I left feeling confident, empowered and determined. Thank you Tasia and Real Voice LA
- Dominick Mozee

I loved that the animation workshop with Tasia Valenza is open to creativity and allows you take time to try new things and discover your inner voice.

After countless group voice over classes and one-on-one coaching over the years, I can truly say that this was three hours well spent. Brent Allen Hagel is a patient teacher and a consummate professional. He is quick to identify strengths and weaknesses and expertly guides you to your best performances. I highly recommend spending time with Real Voice LA. Brent and Mike DeLay know their stuff!
- Marc Howard
-
I have only watched half her class so far, but ARIANNA RATNER is one of my favorites of the Real Voice LA team. Her organized sharing of Resources for voiceover talent to move forward in their individual careers is not commonly found in voiceover coaches. Smart cookie, focused on helping others. Really valuable.
- Camille Mana
-
I have taken a number of online voiceover classes and live streams and every single one of them has been useful. As a remote voice actor I don’t have access to industry hubs and Real Voice LA makes knowledge accessible, affordable, and applicable. You guys rock!
- Melissa Medina
-
I had no experience whatsoever with acting, voice acting, or anything to do with voiceover. However, after taking the Crash Course VO Intensive I feel like that was how I was supposed to start. The atmosphere, the insight, and the actual learning experience of it all was far beyond anything I could imagine. Thank you for helping me find my voice.

I love taking classes at Real Voice L.A. Not only is everyone there amazing (Mike DeLay you are awesome) but the wonderful instructors are all working artists. They teach what is currently happening in the industry. They patiently coach the students and share all aspects of the voice over industry including vocal techniques, how to audition and the business side. They help us to find our strengths and determine the areas that need work. I have learned so much in such a short time. When I think of RVLA the words that come to mind are "Supportive", "Encouraging" and "Inspirational". I highly recommend them.

This was a very fun and insightful experience. I learned quite a bit from Tasia Valenza and admire her talent, kindness, and eagerness to teach others how to "Give Great Voice." It was a great session and you guys did a great job keeping the live stream audit going as smoothly as it did. Thank you!

This was a great class with Roger Leopardi! Roger had usable and practical information for not just the folks in the studio, but also for those of us streaming online. It was helpful to watch everyone find their "base" and build from there to earn their place in the booth! Pure Genius! There are so many people out there calling themselves "coaches" who are great at what they do, but it takes true leadership talent to impart ones knowledge to others in a manner that is digestible so they can replicate it successfully. Roger Leopardi does this so well! If there is one criticism it would be to find a means of allowing the online group to interact with the class. Otherwise, great course and I'm already implementing Roger's techniques! Thank you Real Voice L.A. and Roger Leopardi for putting this course together! Wishing all participants joy and abundance in their voice over careers!

Real Voice L.A. and Mike DeLay are the best! They provide such a wonderful service to the voiceover world. Top notch voice over coaches and voiceover workshops at reasonable prices. Also, whenever I have had a question I get a response right away. I can't wait to get to LA so I can take a class in person!

Cool people that are down to earth, relaxed environment, value packed. If there is a chance to work / meet these people or the group I was with again, I would look forward to it.

I appreciate what RVLA is doing for people at every level! Whether you're curious about voice over or looking to develop better techniques, RVLA meets you where you are! The voice over workshops are great because not only are you involved in reading and acting out the script, but so are the teachers, like Tasia Valenza and Brent Allen Hagel! They have a genuine connection with each person that gets into the booth and helps to bring out the best in them! I'll definitely be back for more training there!

Unreal voice over studio. Katie Zeiner & Mike DeLay are so great to work with and they give honest feedback, honest info about the voice over industry and overall an amazing experience in class! Can't wait for my next class!

With SO many options in my hometown of Los Angeles and so many friends in the voice over business, I was happy I went with my gut. Took a two day intensive here and after being in acting hibernation for a decent amount of time - this was exactly what I needed. Mike DeLay and Katie Zeiner were both humble, supportive and hilarious. I've already decided to sign up for an online voice over class coming up this month. Technically, creatively and mentally - this is what I needed. Thanks so much guys!

I absolutely LOVED being a “fly on the wall” for the Animation & Gaming Voice Over Workshop With Tasia Valenza. I was so happy a live stream audit option was available and for the ENTIRE time of the class (really got to see the before and after in every students performances)!
Personally, my biggest take-aways were:
1. To be true, real, and in the moment. Visualization, specificity, and moments before help a lot!
2. Physicalization helps SO much! Watching and hearing the change in performances and character voices was amazing when someone didn’t lock themselves up!
3. Have fun, play, and just go with it! It’s freeing if you give yourself the permission to just go with it and play with/apply the direction given to you. That makes the whole process fun and challenging all at the same time.
As it was a live stream, I found myself doing every script/exercise out loud to my computer screen lol Even applied the direction given to each student to hear and feel the difference! The option to chat during the class was fun too! Although I was away, I truly felt apart of the class and had a wonderful overall experience! 🙌🏼🎤🎧

Over the weekend, I was a "fly on the wall" for Brent Allen Hagel's Promo/Trailer Voice Over Class. Whoa! What a fantastic experience! He is such a great voice over teacher. He communicated his direction so well and everyone gave top notch reads after his adjustments. Thank you Real Voice LA for putting these trainings on and keeping the prices low. I wish I would have known about you guys years ago!

There's a heck of a lot of wisdom and experience in this little but excellent place. Somehow, while being such an active performing artist, Brent Allen Hagel has a teaching style that produces immediate results and improvements. Like a professor with a sharp knife, a director with a friendly sense of greeting, he'll save you from wasting your time as he instantly addresses your individual story and tweaks it in ways you can use immediately. I got a lot out of the voice over class, and can focus on what I have to do more of. Mike DeLay is a very capable, knowledgeable, friendly, competent dude who will give you all the help and confidence you need. I plan to do more learning and "chiseling" there. Bravo.

I took the Promo and Trailer Voice Over Workshop with Brent Allen Hagel at Real Voice LA and it was great!!! Small class, a lot of mic time and a great booth. Thanks Mike DeLay and Brent Allen Hagel.
- Mike Lynch
-
I love this voice over studio and the classes it offers! The class sizes are small so you get behind the mic often. You get your session sent to you which is awesome to be able to go back and listen and really let the instructors comments and directions sink in. Mike is always smiling and supportive. It’s great to learn in a place where you can really just let go and not feel safe to explore your voice.

Thank you so much for the amazing class last night! My favourite part was looking at character intentions and what I bring to the character given my experiences. The reads were a lot of fun and Tasia Valenza gave great direction to help really draw out the classes’ best reads. Can’t wait for the next one!

I took a weekend voiceover intensive at Real Voice LA and learned so much in such a short span of time! Our instructor, Katie Zeiner, was lively and fun, she's great at getting people out of their shells. Mike DeLay was there to help us familiarize ourselves with home recording and it was SO hopeful. With so many options out there and so many scams it's easy to get lost in a sea of searching, look no further! Real Voice LA has got it all, real working voiceover professionals, great community and prices for every artist. I can't rave about them enough!

Honestly, I'm scared to write a review, because I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO KNOW ABOUT MY NEW FAVORITE (SECRET) PLACE! But I just got home from my first Tuesday Workout Class, and I am SO GRATEFUL to these dudes (Mike, the owner - friendly, sincere guy) and tonight's instructor, Craig, who led a great workout and had lots of useful notes.
I GOT MORE VALUE OUT OF THIS TUESDAY EVENING group, than I did in 3 private coachings with a teacher who-will-not-be-named. That was largely thanks to the fact that it was a very intimate group, but with their Weekly Workouts capped at 12 people, I cannot see how one could NOT gain immense value.
I will definitely be taking classes here, referring friends and colleagues, as well as recording VO auditions here as needed. Nice booth, nice folks. Parking was easy (at least on a Tuesday evening, though I'll have to check it during business hours).
They just opened their doors, so I imagine that it will not always be my personal VO playland once the world at large catches on. But for now, I wanted to express my sheer gratitude with this review (written less than 30 min after my class ended... because, well, that's how thankful I am!).

I had a blast! Mike DeLay (the owner) was great and had such positive energy. I took my first voice over class with Kirsten Day and it was SO MUCH FUN! I learned a lot and she is very encouraging. Her smile is also super contagious and it focuses on finding your own voice in animation....while having fun in the process! I will definitely check out more classes here in the very near future!

I am very new to voice over work so I decided to take an intro class at Real Voice LA. I LOVED IT! Katie Zeiner and Mike DeLay are both fantastic people who had really good advice for me and all the other students. I left feeling really happy and excited for my future as a voice actor. I am definitely going to take another class here & YOU SHOULD TOO IF YOU'RE INTERESTED AT ALL IN VOICE ACTING. I highly recommend it!
