$100 In Person Workshop $30 Live Stream Audit 11am-2pm Pacific Time • Cover physical attributes of your characters • Focus on improv • Discuss vocal placement • Small class size • 18 and over About This Workshop: Whether you're working on developing a character for video games, or animation you'll want to find ways to bring those characters to life. In this workshop you will find ways to use people from your own life as inspiration for characters or character templates. You will also cover the archetypes you need to have in your voice actor's toolkit to find success in video games and animation. *** Cameras are mandatory for class intros*** About Your Instructor: Michael Karl Orenstein is an actor, voice over artist, writer and stand-up comedian. He studied acting and dance at the University of Michigan. Michael has toured throughout North America as a comedian, working with such notables as Tim Allen, Drew Carey and Adam Sandler. He taught improvisation and character creation for several years at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. Aside from voicing numerous commercials over the past 15 years, his voice can be heard in popular games, including World of Warcraft, Grand Theft Auto, Payday 2, World War Z, Smite, Heroes of Newerth, and Desperados III. Policies
NOTE: You will receive both a confirmation email right after you register and a reminder email 24 hours before the class. The emails will contain all the information needed to prepare you for class including information about parking! Be sure to add info@realvoicela.com to your contacts to avoid your emails ending up in a spam, junk, or promotions folder. If you cannot locate your confirmation email, please check your spam folder or promotions tab (gmail) before contacting us! Policy for In-Person Classes: •Please do not arrive any sooner than 15 minutes before your scheduled class time. •Everyone must enter through the parking garage on Barbara Ct. The front entrance on Cahuenga will be locked after 5pm on weekdays and all day on weekends Policies for Audit Classes: • All classes are recorded, and links to view or download them are provided to all enrolled students within three days after the class. • If, for any reason, you can not make the date/time of class, you will still be given access to view the entire workshop with the recorded video. Equipment and for Online Audit Attendance: • Professional gear is not required, but students must have a phone, tablet, or computer with reliable access to Zoom, a camera, and audio. • Cameras are mandatory for class and must be turned on for the duration of the beginning portion of class. Once attendance is taken and class has started, cameras may be turned off at the discretion of the instructor. Cancellation Policy: • Payment is only refundable if cancelled prior to 72 hours before the event. Funds will be returned to the original form of payment. • If cancellation occurs prior to 48 hours before the start of the event, but less than 72 hours before the event, payment will be nonrefundable, but may be rolled over to another workshop. • For any cancellation occurring less than 48 hours before the start of the workshop, payment will be forfeited.
