GUEST DIRECTOR WORKSHOP WITH SÉBASTIEN CROTEAU Online • Tuesday, November 17th • 6:00–9:00 PM Pacific 18+ $150 to participate $50 to audit We’re thrilled to welcome back Sébastien Croteau, internationally recognized voice and casting director, vocal stunt performer, and creature voice specialist, for a one-night Guest Director Workshop! Sébastien has spent nearly two decades bringing monsters, creatures, villains, and all kinds of wonderfully weird beings to life. He has voiced 400+ creatures across more than 40 films and video games and has served as a voice and casting director on 20+ video games. His credits include projects like Star Wars Outlaws, Hellblade 2, Helldivers 2, Genshin Impact, Until Dawn, and Witchfire. As the founder and CEO of The Monster Factory, Sébastien specializes in the very particular art of directing creature performances and vocal stunt work—from the tiniest strange little critter to full-on demons, zombies, beasts, aliens, and everything in between. In this three-hour online workshop, actors will get the chance to work directly with Sébastien and experience how a working director approaches creature and character performance in the booth. Expect direction, exploration, big choices, weird noises, and a deeper understanding of how to create performances that are specific, playable, and useful in a professional recording session. And because extreme vocal work should NEVER mean simply wrecking your voice, Sébastien brings more than 15 years of vocal coaching experience and a science-based understanding of rough and extreme vocal effects to his work. If you’re interested in video games, creature VO, vocal stunt work, or just expanding what you’re capable of behind the mic, this is a seriously special opportunity to work with one of the leading specialists in the field. Policies for Online Classes: • All classes are recorded, and links to view or download them are provided to all enrolled students within three days after the class. • If, for any reason, you can not make the date/time of class, you will still be given access to view the entire workshop with the recorded video. Equipment and Attendance: • Professional gear is not required, but students must have a phone, tablet, or computer with reliable access to Zoom, a camera, and audio. • Cameras are mandatory for class and must be turned on for the duration of the beginning portion of class. Once attendance is taken and class has started, cameras may be turned off at the discretion of the instructor. Cancellation Policy: • Payment is only refundable if cancelled at least 72 hours before the event. Funds will be returned to the original form of payment. • If cancellation occurs prior to 48 hours before the start of the event, but less than 72 hours before the event, payment will be nonrefundable, but may be rolled over to another workshop. • For any cancellation occurring less than 48 hours before the start of the workshop, payment will be forfeited.
