Whether you’re looking at a few lines for a video game audition, a character breakdown, commercial copy, or a scene from an animated series, the script is giving you information. The trick is knowing how to find it and translate it into amazing reads! In this hands-on workshop, Anne will help actors dig into the text and develop a practical approach to script analysis specifically for voice over. The class will explore: •Finding the clues hiding in the copy •Identifying relationship, intention, stakes, and point of view •Using context and subtext to deepen your read •Making specific choices when the script gives you very little information •Breaking down character and story quickly for auditions •Creating genuinely different takes instead of variations of the same read •Using analysis as a jumping-off point for spontaneity and play •Trusting your instincts once you’ve done the homework Anne Yatco is an actor whose extensive voiceover career spans animation, anime, video games, dubbing, and commercial work. She is known as the English voice of Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen and Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact, with additional credits across projects including Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Ghostwire: Tokyo, NEO: The World Ends with You, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and many more. Anne holds an MFA in Acting from CalArts and brings that actor-first foundation to her voiceover work, making this a workshop about more than marking up a script. It’s about learning how to use the text to make choices, tell the story, and create a read that is uniquely yours.

NOTE: You will receive both a confirmation email right after you register and a reminder email 24 hours before the class. The emails will contain all the information needed to prepare you for class. If you cannot locate your confirmation email, please check your spam folder or promotions tab (gmail) before contacting us! Policies for Online Classes: • All classes are recorded, and links to view or download them are provided to all enrolled students within three days after the class. • If, for any reason, you can not make the date/time of class, you will still be given access to view the entire workshop with the recorded video. Equipment and Attendance: • Professional gear is not required, but students must have a phone, tablet, or computer with reliable access to Zoom, a camera, and audio. • Cameras are mandatory for class and must be turned on for the duration of the beginning portion of class. Once attendance is taken and class has started, cameras may be turned off at the discretion of the instructor. Cancellation Policy: • Payment is only refundable if cancelled at least 72 hours before the event. Funds will be returned to the original form of payment. • If cancellation occurs prior to 48 hours before the start of the event, but less than 72 hours before the event, payment will be nonrefundable, but may be rolled over to another workshop. • For any cancellation occurring less than 48 hours before the start of the workshop, payment will be forfeited.
