About This Class:
Cover a variety of aspects within the voice over industry from commercial to animation to video games to recording auditions at home with working professionals. This day camp will give you the confidence to have fun and trust your instincts the next time you're face to face with a casting director in an audition situation. We'll read real commercials and use real scripts in order to make sure content is fresh, current and relevant. You'll also spend time learning the basics of Audacity to record auditions and get hands on, in studio recording experience.
About Your Instructors:
Commercial - Craig Lee Thomas is an actor, voiceover artist, and graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Craig's credits include commercial voice work for Dunkin Donuts, Phillips 66, Cricket Wireless, Campbell's, 3M, and many more. Craig is also the voice of AT&T's In-House Creative Group and HP's Intel Elite PC/Printer campaign starring Christian Slater and Jonathan Banks, and weekly episode previews for ABC's 'Speechless'.
Animation - Kirsten Day is an American Actress best known for her roles in Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, Arena of Valor, and Shadowverse. Her acting roots are in NYC where she originated the role of Alicia in the musical "Go Diego Go, Live" and toured the country with other musicals including "Madagascar, Live!" (Dreamworks) and "The Life and Times of Junie B. Jones" as Junie B. and May. She lives and works in LA where she continues to voice commercials, cartoons, and video games as well as produce her own films.
Home Recording - Mike DeLay is the Owner/ Audio Engineer/ Demo Producer here at Real Voice L.A. He studied audio engineering at Musicians Institute here in Los Angeles and is an Avid Pro Tools Certified Operator. Mike has worked as a free lance audio engineer, mix engineer, music editor and composer. Just before launching RVLA he worked with Silverlake Sounds handling music editing for 20 TV shows and has custom composed or had music placed in shows on NBC, ABC, Freeform, VH1, MTV, Discovery Channel, Bravo!, NatGeo, The Style Network, and Showtime.
