About This Workshop:

Following a script is common practice for an actor, but in the field of live TV and radio, that’s not the case. You will focus on how preparation, research, and improv are all necessary to the dynamics of sportscasting. Dive into the nuts n bolts of play-by-play, and live reporting, and see how these skills will help strengthen the rest of your voiceover and acting auditions. 

About Your Instructor:

An LA native, David Gascon is performing as a versatile sportscaster and voice over talent on various platforms. David continues to showcase his play-by-play abilities on FOX Sports West, FOX Sports Prime Ticket, ESPN, and FOX Sports San Diego. Adding to his TV commitments, David blends in radio play-by-play coverage for Learfield IMG College along with being a national anchor for FOX Sports Radio and its over 400 iHeartRadio affiliates across the globe. Digitally, David is a co-host and producer on iTunes for The Fifth Hour with Ben Maller and show contributor for Stadium. Throughout his career, David has called nine different sporting events and is a two-time winner of the Best Anchor Staff for AM 570 LA Sports as named by the Southern California Broadcasters Association.
