About This Workshop:
On-camera actors have it easy, right? Most times, they have sets and props (and other people!) to help them bring their scenes to life! But voiceover actors have to create all that in their minds. Building off of JP Karliak's "Creating Characters" class, "Creating Worlds" delves into one of VO's great conundrums: how to bring to life all the aspects of a script's environment to life in your own booth. Using acting exercises, improv and actual animation scripts, JP will help you unlock your imagination so you can take the circumstances on the page, fill in the blanks with your own details, and live truthfully in another world, even while standing in front of a mic with headphones on. (NOTE: While it is helpful to have taken JP's "Creating Characters" class, it is not a requirement to take this class).
