About This Workshop:

What characters instantly come to mind when people hear you speak? How do you know which “box” an animated character falls in when you are reading audition sides? What makes the difference between a Hero and a Side Kick?  Join voice director, Actor and coach, Mick Wingert as he leads you through an exploration of some of the most common archetypes in animation to see where you fit and how to make the most out of each audition opportunity. Learn how to identify and portray the “low-hanging-fruit” of your voice print as well as which character archetypes you can hit with a little extra effort and creativity. This workshop is designed for voice actors and students who have taken at least one other voice over class prior. 

About Your Instructor:

The prolific voice actor and director, Mick Wingert is best known for his roles as Professor Heimerdinger, in the smash animated series, Arcane, Iron Man/Tony Stark in the MCU’s What If…?, The Talking Flower in Super Mario Wonder, the villainous Il Dottore in Genshin Impact, both The Joker and M.O.E. in the pre-school series, Bat Wheels, Slappy in Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, and Po in the Kung Fu Panda media franchise. Mick grew up in California’s San Joaquin Valley, relocating to Los Angeles in 2004. In addition to being a much sought-after actor and director, Mick is an in-demand voice acting coach, working with some of the top talent in the industry.

Class is limited to 10 students. 18 and over. Cameras are mandatory for class intro.

If for any reason you can not make the date/ time you will still be able to view the entire workshop with the recorded video. Due to limited seats available, payment is only refundable up to 72 hours before the event. Up to 48 hours before the event payment is nonrefundable, but may be rolled over to another workshop. Any cancellation less than 48 hours before the start time/ date of the workshop, payment will be forfeited.
