About This Workshop:

This two-week course will be a deep dive into the sounds of a "General" Australian Accent. Week 1 will focus on placement, pronunciation and musicality. In between classes there will be viewing homework and a writing assignment. In Week 2 all students will have to stay in accent the whole class; we will review sounds, present writing assignments, and do accent-in-action exercises and games.

About Your Instructor:

Keri Safran is a Certified Knight-Thompson Speechwork Teacher whose private dialect clients range from Oscar and Tony winners to beginner actors. She’s the coach for characters on HBO Max’s The Staircase, Star Trek: Picard, SHO’s The First Lady, et al, and has coached productions at theatres across the country, including Barrington Stage Company (MA) and Studio Theatre (DC).  As an actress she recently Guest Starred on Blue Bloods, shot a feature as Christina Hendricks’ sister/Kunal Nayyar’s wife based on NY Times bestseller, ‘The Storied Life of AJ Fikry,’ and starred Off-Broadway opposite Tony Roberts, John Rubinstein, Dan Lauria, Alley Mills & Lindsay Crouse in the revival of Morning’s at Seven.

If for any reason you can not make the date/ time you will still be able to view the entire workshop with the recorded video.
