About This Workshop:
In this online workshop we'll walk through all the basics of recording at home and delivering a voice over audition in Audacity. We'll cover tips to address common issues that arise like mouth noise, a noisy room and unwanted breaths. We'll also cover recording basics like microphone placement and proper recording levels.
About Your Instructor:
Mike DeLay is the Owner/ Audio Engineer/ Demo Producer here at Real Voice L.A. He studied audio engineering at Musicians Institute here in Los Angeles and is an Avid Pro Tools Certified Operator. Mike has worked as a free lance audio engineer, mix engineer, music editor and composer. Just before launching RVLA he worked with Silverlake Sounds handling music editing for 20 TV shows and has custom composed or had music placed in shows on NBC, ABC, Freeform, VH1, MTV, Discovery Channel, Bravo!, NatGeo, The Style Network, and Showtime.
*** This online workshop will be hosted and recorded in Zoom. Everyone will receive a link to download the video of the workshop the following day. If for any reason you can not make the date/ time you will still be able to view the entire workshop with the recorded video.
Audacity for Auditions
Due to limited space and scheduling, payment is nonrefundable but can be used towards another workshop if arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. Anything less than 24 hours before before the start time/ date of the workshop, payment will be forfeited.$30.00
