About this workshop:

Learn and ask questions about doing character work in the Anime & JRPG market, from dubbing/ADR to video games. We will discuss skills that help you be competitive in these markets, the unique challenges of dealing with localized works, how the pandemic has changed the industry, and tips for remote sessions. Students will also have a chance to read copy of their choice (or bring their own copy to work with) and be directed similarly to how they would be in a live studio session.

About your instructor:

Kira Buckland is a full-time voice actor based in Burbank, California. Her path in the industry has been unique, starting with online animations and indie projects and then working her way up to the LA market, where she has provided voices for hundreds of characters in video games, animation and more. Some of her video game credits include NieR:Automata, Soulcalibur VI, Street Fighter, River City Girls, Persona 5 Strikers, Fire Emblem Heroes, Danganronpa, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Tales of Zestiria, Ace Attorney and many more. With dubbing credits including JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, YashaHime, Demon Slayer, Love Live, Magia Record, ReZero, Sleepy Princess, Kakegurui and Blue Exorcist. Kira is the founder and head admin of the online community "Voice Acting Club" (www.voiceactingclub.com) which provides various resources for voice actors of all levels, as well as for indie content creators looking to work with voice talent.

Class is limited to 12 students. 18 and over. Cameras are mandatory for class intro.

*** This online workshop will be hosted and recorded in Zoom. Everyone will receive a link to download the video of the workshop the following day. If for any reason you can not make the date/ time you will still be able to view the entire workshop with the recorded video. Due to limited seats available, payment is only refundable up to 72 hours before the event. Up to 48 hours before the event payment is nonrefundable, but may be rolled over to another workshop. Any cancellation less than 48 hours before the start time/ date of the workshop, payment will be forfeited.
